Humans of the Central Valley (HOTCV) is a blog designed to showcase the people who live, love, work, and worship in the many communities that make up the Central Valley of California. The blog is designed to amplify the work of the individuals spotlighted as well as the work of Central Valley Matters (CVM). CVM is a coalition of organizations in California working to strengthen democracy and activate disenfranchised communities in the Central Valley. Currently, our coalition of over 30 California volunteer groups helps to fund civic engagement in the Central Valley, supporting our carefully vetted grassroots organizations based in CA’s CD 22:
